Examples of professional applications in various industries:

• Chemical industry - Production of chlorine dioxide: Sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) is an important precursor for the production of chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), which is used as a strong oxidizing and disinfecting agent in various industrial processes.
• Paper industry - Bleaching of paper: Sodium chlorite is used in the bleaching processes of the paper industry. Chlorine dioxide produced from NaClO₂ is used for bleaching pulp, enabling the production of high-quality, bright paper without the use of more harmful chemicals.
• Textile industry - Bleaching of fabrics: In the textile industry, NaClO₂ is used for bleaching fabrics, where its oxidizing ability helps remove dyes and other impurities from materials, giving them brightness and purity.
• Medical and hygiene industry - Disinfectants: Sodium chlorite is used as a component of disinfectants in the medical and hygiene industry. It is used for the disinfection of surgical instruments, hospital surfaces, and for the production of hand and surface disinfectants.
